Material Handler

Job Summary:

Works independently with limited direction from the Warehouse Coordinator/Supply Chain Manager. This position handles all materials from receipt of raw components, supplying components to the production department, moving, and storing products within the warehouse, and shipping finished materials. Picks, packages, and labels products per customer requirements, processes orders in LHB software system, and ensures shipments meet required ship dates.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload trucks, pick and package customer orders, and process them through shipping.

  • Execute and store shipping and receiving documents, schedule LTL and full truckload shipments, as well as UPS and FedEx shipments.

  • Ensure accurate and timely shipping of outgoing orders.

  • Pick production orders, assign locations for products, and move finished goods from the production area to the warehouse.

  • Create and complete production or shipping documents as needed.

  • Perform cycle counts on materials as required by the Supply Chain Manager and help maintain overall warehouse organization.

  • Receive products against vendor POs, perform initial inspections for correctness and quality.

  • Process finished goods shipments, package fulfillment items, schedule and load trucks, and prepare and store shipping/receiving documentation.

  • Move stock weighing up to 70 pounds to and from warehouse shelves.

  • Maintain organization of warehouse inventory using NAV software system and report discrepancies to the Supply Chain Manager or Warehouse Coordinator.

  • Ensure proper entry of all inventory movements (e.g., Shipping/Receiving/Re-class) in the NAV software system.

  • Properly mark all raw and finished materials with LHB part number, lot, and unit of measure prior to shipping finished material or moving raw material to the warehouse.

  • Keep warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas clean and organized.

  • Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Follow equipment safety practices and wear required safety equipment in designated areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of UPS/FedEx procedures and software.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Sufficient visual acuity to pass driver’s license/forklift license tests.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

  • Ability to follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain high-quality work.

  • Strong computer skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 3 years of warehouse experience.

  • Experience with forklift, wave, weight scale, and pallet wrapping.
