Job Title: Lead Insert Operator
Location: Kansas City, MO (Southwest Blvd)
Our Client offers a full range of multi-channel communications solutions, including integrated print, mail, and digital solutions for transactional, marketing, and compliance communications.
As a Lead Insert Operator, you will perform all aspects of Archival and/or Machine Operations activities. You may also oversee shift operations to ensure daily performance expectations are met and exceeded, contributing to the Company’s overall market share. Leadership responsibilities include training and motivating staff, scheduling/delegating work, performance management, enforcing company policies, and collaborating with other departments to ensure quality products.

- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Thursday – Saturday, alternating Wednesdays)
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Thursday – Saturday, alternating Wednesdays)
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Thursday – Saturday, alternating Wednesdays)
- Provide temporary supervision in the absence of the shift supervisor.
- Maintain high efficiency and ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
- Provide input on performance appraisals.
- Promote a collaborative atmosphere with strong work ethics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of related experience; 3+ years in Insert productions preferred.
- Excellent follow-up, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in PC operations and application software (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work well in a diverse group environment and relate well to others.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Flexible schedule and availability for overtime required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate:
- Day Shift: $18 – $19 per hour (depending on experience)
- Night Shift: $18 – $21 per hour (depending on experience), plus a $0.80 shift differential
- Day Shift: $18 – $19 per hour (depending on experience)
- Annual Bonus: $1,250 recurring every year
- Benefits: Medical, dental, life, and vision insurance. 401k with match, parental leave, and more. Medical insurance starts immediately upon hire.
- Paid Time Off: 18 vacation days, 5 paid sick days, 10 paid holidays
