Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Lab Technician for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Midland, MI.

Qualifications:
• B.S. in Chemistry or related field, or associate degree with a 2+ years of industrial experience.
• Experience with NMR spectroscopy is highly preferred.
• Additional experience in one or more of the following skills is highly valued: FT-IR, UV-Vis, GPC, and/or particle size analysis.
• Ability to work well with other people under tight timelines and conflicting priorities.
• Willingness to learn and pivot when necessary.
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Prior general laboratory experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Thermo Nautilus LIMS, STARLIMS, and/or Dotmatics LIMS is preferred.

Responsibilities:
• Logging samples into LIMS (Nautilus AIR).
• Preparation of samples, reagents, and standards for NMR spectroscopic analysis, following a standard operation procedure.
• NMR spectroscopic data acquisition and assessing basic data quality.
• Routine instrument maintenance (cryogen fill, compressor cleaning).
• Disposal of lab waste, following a set protocol.
• Conducting routine laboratory safety checks (safety shower and eye bath testing).
• Cleaning lab area and restocking laboratory supplies as needed.
• Basic analytical work in a few other areas, such as FT-IR, UV-vis, GPC, or particle size analysis.
