We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Manager / Project Manager to join our team on a 6-week contract. This position is 100% onsite at our location in W. Washington, Chicago, IL 60602. As a Payroll Project Manager / Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing payroll questions and providing support to election judges during the upcoming election period. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our payroll system and ensure a smooth payment process for our temporary election workers.
This position will oversee a team of 10 Payroll Call Center Employees supporting the upcoming election.
Job Specifications:
– Job Type: Temporary 6-week contract
– Location: W. Washington, Chicago, IL 60602 100% onsite
– Pay Rate: $40.58/hr.
– Shift: 9a – 5p, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Obtain updates from ADP on employees who have not elected paycard or direct deposit options
– Look up information on assignment locations and provide assistance to election workers
– Communicate with judges who have not elected the payroll option and guide them through the process
– Work with approximately 5,000 employees to identify and implement efficiency improvements in the payroll system
– Establish effective mechanisms for contacting individuals and identifying additional opportunities for efficiency
– Assist in the onboarding process of new election workers and provide support for payroll-related inquiries
– Collaborate with and manager a payroll call center team of approximately 10 temporary employees to ensure smooth operations and onboarding process
Qualifications & Skills:
– Previous experience as a Payroll Manager, Payroll Analyst or Project Manager
– Proficiency in ADP payroll solutions and systems
– Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex data
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
– Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations is preferred
