Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineer – Automation Design

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to design industrial automation control systems and develop machine software applications. You’ll work collaboratively on diverse projects, utilizing innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complete industrial control systems, network communications, schematics, and panel layouts using Electrical CAD software.

  • Perform electrical calculations and prepare equipment/component specifications.

  • Plan, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC/PAC machine controls and HMI interfaces.

  • Program ancillary devices such as servo systems, robotics, vision systems, and motion controllers.

  • Understand and integrate industrial sensing technologies and process control.

  • Design and integrate machine safety systems; perform risk analysis.

  • Collaborate with mechanical designers, machine builders, and electricians.

  • Support customer start-ups, site acceptance testing, and provide on-site service support.

  • Offer customer service technical support.

  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a two-year technical college program in the Electronic/Electrical field or a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

  • Proficient in interpreting industrial wiring schematics and diagrams.

  • Understanding of industrial automation systems, power and controls circuitry, and safety categories.

  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards.
