Job Posting: Manufacturing Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operator to join our team. As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various Manual Hones, including Vaqua, Oasis, Packermatic, and/or Sinjet machines. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading inserts, orienting inserts before grinding, assembling and adjusting honing brushes, performing dimensional and visual inspections, and recording inspection results.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Manual Hones, including Vaqua, Oasis, Packermatic, and/or Sinjet machines.

  • Load and unload inserts from multiple machines.

  • Orient inserts before grinding.

  • Assemble, trim, adjust, and install honing brushes to meet specifications.

  • Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics.

  • Pull samples and record inspection results.

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of products.

  • Run insert, tooling, and brush tests.

  • Separate scrap from good inserts and document accurately.

  • Scan correct production information.

  • Operate other equipment as needed.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Understanding of defect criteria, insert identification, routings, and operating procedures.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Ability to handle inserts with fingers without chipping.

  • Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensions for grinding.

  • Proficiency in using standard measuring instruments such as micrometers, optical comparators, and microscopes.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications.

This is a 1st shift position, with working hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The pay rate for this position is $19 per hour.
