Location: Lenexa, KS  
Department: Environment, Health and Safety  
Reports To: Director, HSE, Risk & Facilities  
Job Type: Contract, 12-month project anticipated
Schedule: full time hours, day shift
Target Pay Rate: $32-34/hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking an EHS Specialist to develop and implement robust environmental, health, and safety programs for a new manufacturing facility. This role focuses on ensuring compliance and continuous improvement during construction and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities:
– Review and enhance work processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
– Monitor construction activities to meet OSHA standards.
– Assist with regulatory inspections and manage the permitting process.
– Develop and track action plans and KPIs for EHS initiatives.
– Investigate incidents and collaborate on corrective actions.
– Promote proactive safety measures and conduct training sessions.
– Provide regular updates to management and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Safety Management.
– Experience: 2+ years in EHS roles within manufacturing or construction; experience in Life Sciences or robotics preferred.
– Skills: Strong knowledge of EHS laws, project management, and IT tools. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and climb ladders.
– Capable of handling hazardous materials as needed.
