We here at Kelly are seeking Forklift Operator’s for one of the world’s leading agricultural companies in Woodhull, IL. Join us in helping farmers feed the world while protecting the planet. Work with great people in a safe and fast-paced environment.

Shifts 6am – 2:30pm and 2pm – 10:30pm (Must be able to rotate shifts)
Pay $18 – Pay increase $1 once certified

Operates forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse area. Follows regulatory requirements. May require certification. May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.

  • Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift.

  • Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WM-System accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.

  • Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning).

  • Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.

  • During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations.

  • Maintain safety standards – initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of forklift experience

  • 1 year of warehouse experience

  • Prior forklift certification is preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to count accurately when moving inventory

  • Ability to read scales

  • Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented

  • Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner

  • Ability to communicate and work independently or with a team

  • Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings

  • Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.

  • Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect.
