Kelly is hiring an Environmental Laboratory Analyst for a facility in Irvine, CA. This role provides hands-on experience in environmental testing, including sample processing, solid phase extractions, QA/QC procedures, and LIMS usage, while developing skills in hazardous waste management and laboratory safety. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Job Responsibilities:
– Receive environmental samples into the laboratory following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
– Perform data entry of sample and test information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
– Label and organize sample containers for appropriate storage.
– Assist in the preparation of sample bottles, sample management, archiving, and disposal.
– Conduct solid phase extractions (SPE) on potable and non-potable water samples; experience with PFAS extraction (EPA 533 & 537.1) is a plus.
– Ensure accurate analysis and adherence to SOPs for all sample testing.
– Prepare quantitative and qualitative standards and reagents for sample analysis.
– Maintain laboratory instruments and equipment in good working order.
– Maintain QA/QC logs, including temperature, balance, and pipette calibration.
– Handle organic solvents and hazardous waste safely (training provided).
– Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
– Document all analytical activities in LIMS during sample processing.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
– Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
– 1-3 years of laboratory experience.
– Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
– Good time management and commitment to quality.
