Maintenance Technician
Location: On-site in Morrisville, NC
$30-$40/hr
Kelly Engineering is hiring for Maintenance Technicians to work for our pharmaceutical client in Morrisville, NC. In this role, you will ensure pharmaceutical processing equipment runs smoothly by handling HVAC systems, utilities, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and general maintenance.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain WFI distribution, CCA, Boilers, and other utilities.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and record data in line with SOPs and cGMPs.
- Install and retrofit facilities equipment.
- Conduct repairs and troubleshoot equipment in collaboration with engineers and vendors.
- Develop creative solutions for equipment issues.
- Complete necessary documentation and work orders accurately and promptly.
- Foster good working relationships within the team and other departments.
- Keep your workspace organized and clean.
- Stay compliant with cGMP and company training requirements.
- Be on call periodically for urgent facility and equipment repairs.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
What You Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in a regulated environment (preferably FDA or NRC).
- Strong knowledge of cGMP and ability to read P&ID and electrical schematics.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting proficiency.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Control Systems, PLCs, HMIs, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is a plus.
- Experience with lyophilization equipment preferred: Skilled in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining lyophilizers (freeze dryers) and related systems, ensuring precise control of temperature, vacuum, and sterile environments for the preservation of sensitive pharmaceutical products.
