Laboratory Testing Associate – Broomfield, CO

Type: Temp to Hire
Shift: M-F 8a-5p
Pay Rate: 50K-60K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-complexity tests as authorized by the lab director, based on your education, training, and technical abilities.

  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, test analysis, and reporting results.

  • Maintain accurate records, including proficiency testing and patient specimen results.

  • Adhere to quality control policies and document all activities related to instrument calibration and maintenance.

  • Identify and correct issues affecting test performance or reporting, and notify supervisors when necessary.

  • Document corrective actions for any deviations from lab standards.

  • Perform statistical analysis and review of QC testing data.

  • Utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and lab equipment software.

Education/Experience:

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related fields.

  • Option 2: Associate degree in a related science field with the following:

    • 60 semester hours with 24 hours in medical lab technology or science courses, including chemistry and biology.

    • Clinical lab training program accredited by ABHES, NAACLS, or equivalent, or three months of documented lab training.

Skills & Competencies:

  • General knowledge of lab procedures and industry standards.

  • Problem-solving skills for gathering and analyzing information.

  • Ability to identify and address issues and seek guidance when needed.

  • Ability to work autonomously, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
