Kelly Engineering is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our client’s team which is a global leader in electrical distribution systems in data centers, construction, healthcare, automotive, oil & gas, and textile industries.

Installation and Commissioning:

  • Install and commission new equipment and systems at client sites, ensuring they are correctly set up and operating efficiently.

  • Conduct initial testing, validation, and calibration of equipment to verify proper functionality.

  • Provide comprehensive on-site training to clients on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the equipment.

  • Assist with the integration of new equipment into existing systems, ensuring seamless functionality.

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Educate clients on scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected failures.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions promptly.

  • Request for repair or replacement of defective components, parts, and assemblies to restore equipment to full operational status.

Technical Support:

  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and issues promptly.

  • Respond to emergency service requests with urgency to minimize downtime and disruption for clients.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and customer interactions.

Customer Service:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Educate clients on best practices for equipment use, care, and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and performance.

  • Address client concerns and feedback professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed service reports documenting issues, actions taken, and outcomes for each service visit.

  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including user manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance procedures.

  • Report recurring issues and provide feedback to engineering and product development teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer  

  • Strong technical knowledge of [relevant equipment/systems], including electrical, mechanical, and software components.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, meters, and software applications for equipment testing and repair.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple service calls, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
