Job Title: Bookkeeper – Accountant
Are you a detail-oriented financial professional ready to take ownership of all financial transactions and record-keeping for a dynamic company?
Exciting opportunity for a skilled Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage our financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations. You’ll play a key role in generating financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the company’s financial records and transactions.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, journal entries, and WIP adjustments.

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections.

  • Process payroll, track vacation and sick time, and manage payroll-related taxes.

  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns, including sales, payroll, and income taxes.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing financial insights and recommendations.

  • Present financial reports to management and stakeholders and respond to queries.

  • Manage month-end closings and reconciliations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks experience is essential).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with various teams.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.

  • Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable.

  • Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations.

  • Experience in preparing financial reports and providing insights.
