Senior Warehouse Inventory Analyst- Temp to Hire

Location: Bloomfield, CT 06002
Shift: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (7 AM – 4 PM or 8 AM – 5 PM)
Hourly Range: $25/hr – $30/hr- Rate dependent upon experience

Summary:
The Senior Warehouse Inventory Analyst plays a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy through detailed cycle counts and data entry for fiscal years 2024 and 2025. This position supports the Warehouse Manager and logistics team in daily operations, working closely with warehouse personnel to enhance inventory control and management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily cycle counts and ensure accurate data entry for all warehouse inventory.

  • Assist warehouse staff in physical inventory counting and provide support as needed.

  • Communicate cycle count progress and completion to the finance team.

  • Develop root cause analysis and corrective action reports for inventory discrepancies.

  • Use advanced Excel macros for efficient data entry, analysis, and inventory reporting.

  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to implement and refine inventory control procedures.

  • Review aging inventory for scrap or write-off recommendations.

  • Investigate supplier inventory affidavits and systematic movements to resolve discrepancies.

  • Travel to suppliers and storage facilities to verify inventory.

  • Work with the Warehouse Manager on processing receipts, generating pick tickets, and managing delivery notes.

  • Support the Logistics Warehouse Coordinator in managing shipments via carriers such as DHL, FedEx, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 2-3 years of clerical data entry experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced macros.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP systems.

  • Previous experience in an Inventory Analyst or similar role.

Additional Information:

  • 10% travel to other facilities or supplier locations may be required.
