QC Chemist I – Southwest Houston, TX

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Quality Control Chemist I for one of our clients, a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and provider of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), located in southwest Houston.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform and/or assist with analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

  • Utilize analytical laboratory instrumentation under supervision.

  • Comply with cGMP regulations and follow all standard operating procedures.

  • Document activities and review documentation from other laboratory personnel.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation within the level of experience.

  • Process and analyze data according to established procedures.

  • Perform and/or assist with equipment calibrations.

  • Assist in investigating aberrant results and out-of-specification results, providing written summary reports of such investigations.

  • Other related duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-year degree in chemistry or a related discipline.

  • 2+ years’ experience in a chemistry laboratory or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2+ years’ experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-VIS, and dissolution apparatus.

  • Adherence to standard operating procedures (cGMP, SOP, and DOP).

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to partner effectively with co-workers and collaborate with other departments.

  • Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally throughout the day.

This is a temp-to-hire , possible direct hire, position with a pay rate dependent on the level of education and applicable experience. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift. If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume for immediate consideration. #P1
