As a Project Engineer, you will act as the primary technical partner between our project managers and customers. You will serve as the technical expert for our projects, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence. Your role will involve designing innovative solutions, interpreting customer specifications, and providing critical technical support throughout the project lifecycle. This position is crucial for maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability in power systems, fostering strong relationships with customers, and collaborating effectively with internal teams.  Our client is a growing company with many opportunities for career growth. 

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of power systems and control systems.

  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Promis-E, or similar CAD programs.

  • Ability to read and interpret customer specifications, compare them to project quotes, and provide technical feedback.

  • In-depth knowledge of medium voltage switchgear and power system applications.

  •   Experience with relay applications and coordination.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address customer needs effectively.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  •  Ability to apply IEEE and ANSI standards throughout project execution.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Design and consult on switchgear lineups, ensuring compliance with industry standards to meet project requirements effectively.

  • Read, interpret, and analyze customer job specifications to deliver accurate and precise project outcomes.

  • Create detailed and accurate drawings, including single-line diagrams, front views, section views, bills of material, schematic diagrams, and elementary diagrams, to facilitate clear project understanding and execution.

  •  Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop production drawings for the shop floor, ensuring seamless production processes.

  • Prepare and distribute drawing transmittals for production staff and customers, ensuring timely and clear communication.

  • Serve as a liaison between project management, customers, and production teams to ensure cohesive project execution.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance throughout production and factory acceptance testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on approval drawings from fellow engineers, ensuring compliance with project standards.
