Jacksonville, FL – Onsite

Direct Hire $65,000 – $75,000

 

Kelly Engineering is recruiting for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be a key part of the manufacturing team and actively contribute to the production of high-quality, life-saving products. You’ll support Lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency, flexibility, and quality across our operations. This is an entry-level position suitable for a problem solver with a passion for process improvement and collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the launch of military and professional life-saving products.

  • Support Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives; participate in Six Sigma projects for process improvements.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance production capacity and quality.

  • Assist in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for recurring issues.

  • Help in developing and maintaining BOMs, tooling requirements, and work instructions.

  • Support testing and validation of new products, processes, and systems for production readiness.

  • Participate in regulatory compliance testing and validation.

  • Receive mentorship from senior engineers to support your development and technical growth.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electrical), or equivalent experience.

  • 0-2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with exposure to New Product Introduction (NPI).

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping).

  • Basic proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

  • Exposure to technical writing (PFMEA, Process Flows, Control Plans) is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Lean Green Belt certification or interest in pursuing it is a plus. Spanish language skills are desirable not mandatory.
