Kelly Engineering is recruiting for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Jacksonville, FL. In this role you will be an integral part of the manufacturing team and lead efforts to deliver high-quality, life-saving products. You’ll drive Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, flexibility, and quality across our operations. This is a hands-on role for a problem solver passionate about process improvement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch military and professional life-saving products.

  • Lead Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives; integrate Six Sigma for process improvements.

  • Champion continuous improvement projects to enhance production capacity and quality.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.

  • Develop and maintain BOMs, tooling requirements, and work instructions.

  • Test and validate new products, processes, and systems for production readiness.

  • Participate in regulatory compliance testing and validation.

  • Mentor junior engineers, supporting their development and technical growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electrical), or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on New Product Introduction (NPI).

  • Proficient in Lean manufacturing (5S, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping).

  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency required.

  • Experience in technical writing (PFMEA, Process Flows, Control Plans).

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Lean Green Belt certification preferred. Spanish language skills are a plus.
