Substation Design Engineer (Cleveland, Ohio)
Our client located in the Cleveland, Ohio area is expanding their team to include a new addition in Engineering, someone to lead Substation Design.  

Job Summary:
The Substation Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of electrical substations, including physical layout design, equipment specifications, protection and control systems, and other associated civil/structural designs. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to ensure that the substation projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and detail steel and aluminum structures using Autodesk, AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Inventor 3D.
Create 3D models and 3D assemblies using Inventor. 
Create shop drawings and field assembly drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
Maintain electronic CAD files using Autodesk Vault. 
Use standard structural shapes and tapered tubular sections.
Follow general arrangement drawings and equipment support details. 
Work with and follow instructions from engineers and senior designers.  
Apply in house detailing standards and practices.
Coordinate with office staff on document releases.
Communicate with fabricators and customers on project coordination.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in substation design or related fields.
Experience with electrical substation projects, including physical and protection/control design.
Inventor/3D/AutoCAD/Vault/ Steel design.
Familiarity with substation protection and control systems (relay settings, SCADA integration, etc.).
Knowledge of HV and MV substation components and systems.

Base Salary-  ***$45,000.00-  $85,000.00 plus*** depending on experience.
