TEMP CONTRACTOR COVERING A MEDICAL LEAVE
8AM- 4:30PM – 100 % on-site in Minneapolis.
Contract is through Thanksgiving.
$75-$90/HR- DOE
MUST HAVE EXPERINCE WITH CERIDIAN and expert level experience in Excel (Pivot tables and setting up & manipulating formulas)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Functional back up for all payroll coordinator functions and check processing
- Overpayment and repayment program administration and coordination
- Payroll process improvement and documentation
- Responsible for federal, state and local income tax provision preparation and income tax compliance, and federal and state income tax planning & research. Apply for Federal, State and Local accounts if needed.
- Manage payroll and Tax Vendor relationship by effectively communicating, resourcing and maintaining a positive and professional partnership to meet service level agreements.
- Responsible for the payment of invoices to ADP for payroll tax/garnishment processing.
- Continually analyze legislative and regulatory tax changes that affect the payroll tax function and work with IT department to set technology priorities and implement process or system enhancements for ADP and Tax related Lawson functionality.
- Update BSI with all SUI rates and regulatory changes
- Analyze employee level tax data to maintain compliance and ensure state and local withholding is correct at the employee level.
- Research and resolve advanced employee-related payroll tax issues. May train payroll department members to troubleshoot common tax questions.
- Respond to all federal, state and local agency notices and inquiries.

- W-2 Production and Administration
- Assist with internal and external audits.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree or a combination of education and related experience
- 2 years of payroll processing experience with 2 additional years of experience of payroll tax
- Experience working in a multi-state environment
- Experience working with a third-party payroll tax processor
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Analytical, interpretive and organizational skills
- Able to multitask efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
- Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and able to work with all levels of an organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel (Advanced proficiency required) and Outlook
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work will be performed in an office environment.
- Some repetitive motion such as typing
- Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, climbing stairs and light lifting of file boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work additional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
