We’re seeking a Janitor to work at a premier client in Houston, TX 77013. Sound good? Take a closer look below. You owe it to yourself to consider this great new opportunity.

Schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, weekends when needed

Pay rate: $17.00hr, Temp to Hire 

Location: Houston, TX 77013

What’s a typical day as a Janitor? You’ll be:
• Operating various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and/or polishing floors using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Checking the entire area for spills, water, etc. periodically, especially in break rooms.
• Cleaning the building, break rooms, offices, and meeting rooms.
• Cleaning restrooms daily, including sinks, mirrors, and toilets.
• Dusting and polishing furniture.
• Reporting any needed repairs immediately to the manager, such as leaky faucets or toilets, missing nuts or screws, etc.
• Emptying trash bins on a regular basis and picking up trash in the parking area of the building.
• Responsible for the disposal of trash and other disposable materials.
• Putting up signs to signal wet floors during cleaning or to show any other form of safety situation in the surroundings.
• Re-stocking materials like toilet paper, hand soap, and hand towels in the washrooms.
• Carrying out extra cleaning duties as ordered or instructed by supervisors.
• Making sure assigned cleaning tasks are executed in a timely and orderly manner.
• Following instructions on solutions when using them to clean.
• Using safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.
• Following all company safety policies and procedures and immediately reporting any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

• Have the ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as instructions on solutions used for cleaning and safety policies.
• Are able to communicate with peers, managers, and customers of the company.

Physical Demands:
• May be required to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds of cleaning supplies, vacuum, step stool, etc.
• Must be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to reach above shoulder to perform routine cleaning duties.
• Ability to grasp and grip in order to handle cleaning tools and equipment.
• Ability to use equipment including vacuum, broom/mop, buffer, pushcart.
