US Compliance Manager – STL MO
Kelly Science and Clinical is currently recruiting for a qualified, permanent, US Compliance Manager for a reputable client of ours in the biotech space. The position is in St. Louis, MO and is remote-based.
Pay: $115K/yr, possibly higher based on experience
Hours: Mon – Fri, 8A – 5P – this position will be remote
Summary:
- The US Compliance Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders to help ensure that the company adheres to all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and internal policies. This person will report to the General Counsel and will work closely with various departments to implement, monitor, and enforce compliance initiatives, reducing risk and ensuring the highest standards of ethical and legal conduct within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and updating the company’s US compliance program in line with healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Drafting revising, and maintaining compliance-related policies and procedures
- Ensuring that policies are up to date with the latest healthcare laws, regulatory requirements and best practices
- Conducting risk assessments and internal audits to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues
- Advising internal stakeholders on compliance and regulatory matters on various issues, including but not limited to, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, False Claims Act (FCA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), federal reimbursement guidelines, CMS requirements, professional board regulations, and licensing requirements
- Providing practical guidance and innovative solutions for compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute and other fraud, waste, and abuse statutes
- Monitoring and analyzing changes in healthcare laws and regulations and communicating their impact on the organization
- Designing, maintaining and delivering internal training programs on relevant healthcare compliance matters, including fraud and abuse prevention, Sunshine Act, Anti-Kickback and reimbursement requirements
- Serving as a resource for employees on compliance-related inquiries and issues
- Participating in investigations into compliance violations and preparing reports
- Preparing and maintaining documentation related to compliance activities
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of any compliance issues or breaches to appropriate authorities
Qualifications/Education/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in healthcare administration preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, experience in medical devices preferred
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, FCA, HIPAA, and other relevant statutes
- Excellent communication skills (both in written and verbal format)
