What’s a typical day as a Career/Job Continuum Coordinator? You’ll be:
- Assessing students’ skills, interests, and career goals through interviews and assessments.
- Providing individual and group career exploration to assist students in making informed career decisions.
- Creating career exploration engagement activities to engage students, business, and industry.
- Developing and implementing career experiences and programs.
- Providing information on various career options, job roles, educational requirements, and market trends.
- Assisting students in enhancing their employability skills such as resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies, and networking.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of program(s).
- Organizing and conducting workshops, information sessions.
- Staying informed about labor market trends and occupational, educational, and economic opportunities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Human Resources, or related field
- Possess experience in career counseling, workforce development, or a related field.
- Have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Are knowledgeable about labor market trends and career development practices.
- Are passionate about helping students achieve their career goals and improving their employability skills.
- Working with youth or secondary school experience.
- Three years of experience in student placement, career services, advising, customer service, workforce development or related fields.
