A management/investment management company located in York, Pennsylvania, is seeking a highly motivated, intelligent, and detail-oriented individual to fill a tax manager position.
The tax manager will be responsible for tax compliance across federal, state, and local taxation, including partnerships, limited liability entities, trusts, foundations, and individuals. This role involves the preparation of returns in-house and the compilation of tax information for tax counsel and external accounting services. The tax manager will assist the tax director in tax research, tax basis preparation, and various related projects. This is an opportunity to work on a wide variety of tax entities within a non-public setting, with a development path to the tax director role. The salary is $100,000+ based on experience, with a potential annual bonus of 10% or more at management’s discretion based on performance.
Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with an accounting major
Manager-level tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm or equivalent
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to work in both team-driven and independent settings
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines consistently
Professional interaction with all organizational levels
Decision-making skills based on company guidelines and policies
Willingness to work extra hours during peak periods
