Assembly Specialist
Job Description
Assembly Specialist will be responsible for reading work instructions and specifications to prepare crystals, housings, and seals to assemble detectors.
Compensation
- Starting Pay: $16.25 per hour (higher pay based on experiance)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build high-quality radiation detectors following work instructions and specifications.
- Prepare crystals, housings, and seals for detector assembly.
- Work in a cleanroom environment with controlled temperature and humidity.
- Wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
- Adhere to safety protocols and precautions, including the prohibition of contact lenses in assembly areas.
- Handle moving mechanical equipment and small amounts of hazardous materials and airborne particles.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to work for extended periods in a low humidity environment (-55°C dew point or below).
- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and small amounts of hazardous materials.
- Must follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Team Environment
- Join the team with the largest number of technicians across both locations.
- Work in a collaborative “assembly feel/dry room” environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must follow all company safety protocols and be highly detail-oriented.
