Job details
We are currently seeking a skilled Capping Operator to support our aseptic filling operations. In this role, you will be responsible for staging and delivering components, conducting in-process testing, operating capping equipment, conducting inspections of filled units, performing batch count reconciliation, and ensuring terminal sterilization in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards. You will also be involved in initiating minor revisions to existing documents and troubleshooting simple processes and equipment failures. The Capping Operator II may be required to cross-train and provide support in other areas. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Pay: $18.00 – $18.50
Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow current GMP standards
- Operate automated terminal sterilizers
- Perform product weight verification
- Conduct routine cleanup and sanitization
- Maintain cGMP compliance within work areas
- Perform equipment verification and setup
- Operate capping equipment
- Assist in the training and development of team members
- Maintain attendance in accordance with company policy
- Work in a classified pharmaceutical environment with appropriate gowning
- Adhere to safety protocols and handle materials required for pharmaceutical production
Qualification Requirements:
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication and documentation skills, including legible handwriting
- Good interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and math skills
- Knowledge of aseptic manufacturing practices
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures and specifications
- Previous pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferred (6 months)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, speaking)
- Physical ability to perform various tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
