Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Sampling Technician – Food near Bloomington, IL.
Temp only (6 months)
Shift: Monday – Friday 10am-6pm; however, schedule may fluctuate based on business needs; for example, to 9am-5pm. There is weekend work required also depending on business needs. There is a rotation and every 4-5 weeks, a sampling technician is scheduled. This schedule is known in advance.
In addition to occasional shift in work hours and weekend rotational work, every week on Thursdays, if there is a business need, there may be a need to work the upcoming Saturday. However, this is communicated in advance.
Pay: based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Daily aseptic sampling of incoming raw and packaging materials for sample analysis.
- Properly label samples and record all materials sampled in a log for proper traceability.
- Use of SAP to determine the material sampling plan and indicate analysis required for the lab.
- Inspect all delivered raw & packaging materials for defects and damage as required in the company’s Quality requirement. Escalate all issues to supervisor.
- Inspect and sample any damaged raw and packaging materials as requested by production, warehouse, and other departments as part of risk assessments of non-conforming materials.
- Deliver samples to the Incoming, Microbiological, Chemical, and Packaging Labs as required.
- Responsible for general analysis of incoming material inspection and results recording.
- Taste test (organoleptic) raw materials, semi-finished and finished products as requested.
- All other duties as assigned by Lab Supervisor or Lab Manager
- Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Provide correct and accurate quality reports.
- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
- Verification that all results are correct.
Qualifications:
- 1+years of experience working in a GMP environment
- 1+ years of experience within food
- Experience with aseptic sampling
- Valid IL driver’s license
