Job Posting: Walk Coordinator – Administrative Assistant II

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Walk Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in raising funds to support our non-profit organization’s mission, programs, and services. As the Walk Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the world’s largest fundraiser. We are looking for someone with a passion for special event management, exceptional customer service skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and volunteers.

Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the VP of Development and Walk Chair to develop call lists and volunteer projects related to the walk
– Assist the volunteer committee by making calls to past participants, encouraging them to register for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s
– Support and participate in all Walk wraparound events, including kickoffs, registration weeks, bank nights, and contest weeks
– Take part in walker stewardship and cultivation initiatives
– Perform other essential duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 1-3 years of work experience in a nonprofit setting
– Understanding of sales, development, and fundraising events is preferred
– Professional experience in a nonprofit fundraising or sales setting is highly desirable
– Experience working with volunteers is an advantage

Pay Rate: $23 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday, flexible 1st shift
