Hybrid work schedule which means you need to be in a location commutable to Miami Florida

Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience $200k+ range plus substantial bonus

 

 

Position Overview:

Are you a seasoned financial executive with a passion for strategy, leadership, and driving growth? Seeking a dynamic Vice President / Head of Finance to join our clients Executive Team and lead all strategic efforts related to finance. In this role, you’ll oversee financial KPI reporting, execute corrective actions, ensure compliance, and drive the company’s financial strategy across departments. Ability to lead and motivate people to perform within their department and influence key people outside of their department. This individual is a member of the Executive Team, reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for contributing to the overall strategy of the company.

As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other departments to ensure financial performance and strategic goals are met. Your expertise will shape companywide financial initiatives, guiding us toward sustained success.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Drive the company’s financial strategy to meet key performance goals.

  • Act as a key representative of financial strategy to internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Establish and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for the Finance department.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to advise on financial decisions and initiatives.

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor company performance, identifying areas of concern or success.

  • Oversee tax accounting, treasury functions, and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Maintain effective financial checks and balances within the department.

  • Supervise companywide accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Provide regular financial analysis and reports to department heads, the Executive Team, and the Board of Directors.

  • Ensure timely financial reporting, tax compliance, and year-end closing milestones.

  • Stay up to date on changes in GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate the finance team, ensuring high performance and development.

  • Assign duties and deadlines within the department to ensure goals are met.

  • Supervise and evaluate accounting team performance to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee cash management, investment funding, and reserve management.

  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and other stakeholders.

  • Oversee insurance, facilities management, and other operational needs.

 

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree in Finance strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate finance, with extensive knowledge in financial analytics and strategy.

  • Proven leadership skills and experience with a track record of recruiting, motivating, and developing a finance team.

  • Strong command of financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, high-growth environment with competing priorities.

  • Experience with financial software implementation and strong technical skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and judgment.
