Bioprocessing Manufacturing Tech
Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Bioprocessing Manufacturing Tech for a direct-hire position at one of our Global pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing clients in Pennington, NJ. This is a full-time, fully benefitted position.

Monday through Friday: 9:00AM-5:00PM

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and execute media/feed screenings and optimizations using ambr250 and bioreactor culture development, including fed batch and perfusion cell culture processes.

  2. DOE expertise, including scaling down and scaling up of upstream processes

  3. Bioreactor culture development including fed-batch, N-stage perfusion technologies (2 to 50L scale) with both glass and single-use cell culture technologies

  4. Hands-on experience with process characterization studies

  5. Experience with aseptic techniques, cell culture in various lab-scale formats, small to medium scale bioreactors, and cell counting methods and equipment like Cedex, Vi Cell, Osmometer

  6. Handling of Mammalian cell culture using bench top, single use bioreactors and   high throughput systems such as ambr250, WAVE bioreactors and ATF systems.

  7. Excellence in cell culture process development by Fed batch as well as Perfusion process.

  8. Work with the MSAT team to establish and maintain a scientific climate of excellence in order to meet business objectives.

  9. Supports process deviations, assesses product impact, prepares technical reports, and proposes process solutions and improvements

  10. Interfacing with development and manufacturing sites for process data analysis & mapping in order to anticipate potential risks and opportunities for improvements supporting next generation manufacturing processes

  11. Planning, assigning, and supervising daily operations to ensure proper experiment execution

  12. Daily review of ongoing experimental data

  13. Reviewing functional PDR, TTD etc.

  14. Assist in the transfer of robust, efficient, and scalable cell culture processes to clinical and commercial manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

  1. Practical demonstration of hands-on process development including use of statistical design of experiments (DOE) is required. Experience with automation technologies is desired.

  2. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills and aptitude for problem solving

  3. Act as an effective and committed team player.

  4. Ability to work and collaborate in cross functional teams, research, development, manufacturing in a fast pace and dynamic team setting.

  5. Required Skills:
