Job Title: ENG II R&D Network Administrator

Pay rate: $60 – $68 per hour

Duration: 06 months

W2 contract only (No C2C)

Location- Milwaukee, WI, 53224 (onsite)

ENG II R&D Network Administrator Contract Position (Local to Milwaukee)

Position Overview

A Senior IT support position for Software and Test R&D teams to provide development system administration, and R&D network administration used in the development of medical device software. The ideal candidate will carry a strong understanding of Active Directory domain configurations, Wireless and wired networking, Code Signing certificate management, and Azure VM administration. This position will require the documentation of designs, and collaboration with cross functional teams

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administration for critical software development tools that reside outside of IT responsibility.

  • Provide network administration activities for R&D network domain server used for development and test.

  • Coordinate closely with developers and IT representatives to ensure proper design and deployment of engineering network to provide a consistent development and test infrastructure.

  • Manage code signing certificates and aid in the signing of compiled resultants or setup of automated CI/CD pipeline code signing.

  • Aid in managing vSphere VM infrastructure used for software development.

  • Take point in establishing and documenting R&D network and development systems within new office location coordinating with global R&D sites.

  • In this role, you will use your expertise to manage R&D networks, tools, and build systems for the support of innovative medical equipment. These tasks may include:

  • Working cross functionally to understand user needs for new and existing products.

  • Daily administrative tasks to appropriately manage authorization to networks and tools.

  • Strong documentation skills to record network architecture and administrative guides.

  • Troubleshooting to address any issues with R&D networks or tools.

  • Work with other developers and DevOps professionals to identify new methodologies, processes, or tools associated with development pipelining.

  • Owns and drives continuous improvement activities associated with Cardiology R&D tools and networks by identifying and appropriately escalating process and infrastructure quality gaps.

Qualifications / Experience and/or Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT Administration, Engineering discipline or equivalent is required.

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Network Administration is required.

  • Demonstrated success in delivering results on technical challenges required.

  • Experience with network protocols, network management systems, security principles, and network (WiFi and LAN) troubleshooting is required.

  • Proven experience in administering development tools, WiFi networking, and virtual machines on local networks.

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is desired.

  • Experience with Cisco WiFi controllers is desired.

  • Experience with WiFi radius servers is desired.

  • Understanding of code signing certificates is desired.

  • Experience with VMWare and vSphere Virtual Machines in an R&D environment desired.

  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure desired.

  • Experience with any Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI or Batch files desired

  • Good understanding of Healthcare domain (regulations and standards) and Medical software development process is desired.

  • Experience with Active Directory domain administration including group policies and certificate authorities is desired.
