If you’re looking for a permanent Maintenance Mechanic position, look no further! Kelly, in partnership with a global food manufacturer, is looking to hire Maintenance Mechanics in White Bear Lake, MN!
 
Our client is a team-oriented, union employer that values their talented workforce. This is a direct hire position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit package upon hire.
 
Pay and Bonuses:

  • Starting Pay: $28.00 – $30.97/hr

  • Pay increase potential each fall

  • New Hire Bonus:  $1500 total – $500 at 3 months, $500 at 6 months and $500 at 12 months

Schedule: 

  • 12-hour schedules working either days or overnights

  • Schedules:  6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

  • Will work a 2-2-3 schedule. With this schedule you will:

    • Work only 180 days a year.

    • Work no more than three days consecutively.

    • Get a 3-day weekend every other week.

 
Maintenance Mechanic Duties:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment.

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and inspections, and take corrective actions of production equipment and components.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

  • Maintain inventories of parts and supplies and reporting low supply levels to supervisor.

  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Follow all safety rules, regulations and procedures.

  • Responsible for reporting food safety or quality problems to management.

  • Other duties as assigned by management/supervision.

 
Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience or 2 years maintenance experience with additional technical training.

  • Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

  • Proficiency with single phase electrical systems and motors.

  • Proficiency with 3 phase electrical distribution systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls circuits and work with basic electrical schematics.

  • Ability to use electrical test instruments such as continuity tester, ampere meter, voltage tester.

  • Mechanical and electrical skills to troubleshoot and perform repairs and machine adjustments.

  • Ability to inspect equipment, identify potential problems, and take action to prevent component and equipment failures.

  • May be required to obtain MN boiler class A or B license, with assistance of the client.
