Pay Rate:           $15.92 per hour

What’s a typical day as a Laundry Technician? You’ll be:

• Operating the Milnor Tunnel Washer CBW, press, and dryer system
  

• Loading the conveyor system with the proper type and weight of soiled linens
  

• Assisting and rotating with coworkers to maintain an efficient workflow
  

• Learning and running the computer billing and requisition program
  

• Operating the spreader, iron, and folder, ensuring proper operation
  

• Starting up the CBW in the morning and shutting it down following proper procedures on a rotating basis
  

• Pre-sorting all linens in a timely manner upon receipt
  

• Maintaining a constant flow of linens to the CBW
  

• Checking computer screens and troubleshooting error messages when necessary
  

• Starting up and shutting down the spreader, iron, and folder at the end of each shift
  

• Coordinating with coworkers/supervisor/technician II to meet special requests and scheduled deliveries
  

• Filling outside orders correctly and neatly, completing necessary paperwork
  

• Post-sorting and folding clean tumble-dried linen to prevent excessive wrinkles
  

• Communicating delays to the main hospital and outside accounts
  

• Performing any other duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a High School Diploma/GED equivalent in General Studies (preferred)
  

• Have previous experience in a similar role (a plus)
  

• Have the ability to operate laundry machinery and equipment
  

• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  

• Have excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  

• Have good communication and teamwork skills
  

• Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with machinery
  

• Have physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads as required
