University Recruiters needed in Houston
Work for a National Oil and Gas Company
This is an office-based position with travel (paid for) required
4 Openings 6+ months long with 2 positions becoming permanent
Pay rate to $45-53/hr DOE
What will you be doing?
- Work with leadership across a large National Oil and Gas Corporation to identify current and prospective hiring targets domestically for University and Technical College recruitment program.
- Determine requirements for campus recruiting and number of schedules, disciplines, and locations by modeling hiring targets against historical acceptance rates, percentage of offers made, applications from each university, etc.
- Identify new strategies and process improvements to effectively manage campus and on base recruiting efforts – including but not limited to:
o Identifying targeted campuses and military bases
o Coordinating domestic recruiting teams and identifying their roles
o Developing pre-campus, on-campus and post-campus strategies
o Tracking on-campus activities/participation
o Managing charitable contribution requirements
o Marketing/branding with universities, students and veterans
o Managing candidate systems tracking and distribution
o Coordinating offer process
- Coordinate and conduct recruitment efforts in conjunction with campus teams to deliver top quality new grad and intern candidates, aligned with Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 University targets.
- Maintain historical records of new grads, interns and produce metrics reports that can be incorporated into the overall Talent Acquisition Group’s monthly/quarterly metrics package.
- Develop university relations to promote and enhance on-campus presence. This may include serving as liaison to educational department heads, developing relationships with on-campus professional/student organizations (i.e., SPE, AIChE, etc.) and other ad hoc networking, all designed to ensure consistency with branding and communication strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action plans related to staffing role.
- Plan and manage summer intern program and all activities associated with the program – including but not limited to:
o On-boarding
o Ensuring interns have a defined summer project and/or assignment
o Identifying mentors for each of the interns
o Coordinating summer field trips and tours
o Coordinating summer-end intern poster presentations
o Preparing for and leading intern evaluations meetings
o Facilitating approvals and full-time job offers for selected interns prior to their return to university.
What is required?
- Oil & gas experience is highly preferred
- Must have 2+ University Relations experience.
- BD in Human Resources or comparable degree
- Event management experience is important for this role.
- Need to be detail oriented, working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be strong with Microsoft Teams
- High level Microsoft Office skills
- Yellow or Handshake experience is a big plus
- Must be able to travel to events within Texas- 2 day max overnight trips
