If you are ready to work with a growing company on exciting projects at an industry leader than Kelly Services has an opportunity for you as a Lead Electrical Engineer, in San Jose, CA. Our client is looking for a qualified candidate who has experience with energy storage.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer with specialized knowledge in Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification processes and battery technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and certification of electrical systems and battery solutions to meet regulatory and safety standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, software development, and manufacturing.

- Design and Development:
- Design and develop electrical circuits, systems, and battery components.
- Create detailed schematics, layout designs, and technical documentation.

- UL Certification and Compliance:
- Ensure all electrical designs meet UL standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit documentation for UL certification approvals.

- Battery Technology:
- Develop and optimize battery systems, including cell selection, battery management systems (BMS), and thermal management solutions.
- Conduct performance testing and failure analysis on battery systems.

- Safety and Testing:
- Perform safety assessments and risk analysis for electrical systems.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure reliability and safety.

- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and product quality.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends in electrical engineering and battery technology.

Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on UL certification and battery technology.
- Proven experience leading projects and managing teams.
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Able to write complex reports without supervision and develop new procedures where needed.
- Able to clearly communicate problems and observations with management from other departments.
- Proficient in creating and utilizing spreadsheets,
