What’s a typical day as a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner? You’ll be:
• Analyzing and processing complex workers’ compensation claims to determine benefits due.
• Managing claims through well-developed action plans to ensure appropriate and timely resolution.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Calculating and assigning timely reserves to claims and managing reserve adequacy.
• Preparing necessary state filings within statutory limits.
• Managing the litigation process and ensuring cost-effective claims resolution.
• Coordinating vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.
• Using cost containment techniques to reduce overall claims costs.
• Managing claim recoveries, including subrogation and offsets.
• Maintaining professional client relationships and communicating claim activity.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner in California.
• Hold a SIP Certification.
• Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Are PC literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excel in negotiation and problem-solving.
• Thrive in a team environment.
• Can meet or exceed service expectations.
