Our client is seeking a Construction Estimator to plan and bid projects for industrial construction projects throughout the greater Virginia area. Those with 1-4 years current Quoting/Estimating in the Construction field is required. Electrical estimating is a big plus as well!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, including but not limited to:
- Manages the effective standardization, organization, preparation, and proper distribution/submission of qualification submissions, company information, and other estimating-related correspondence associated with projects assigned to this role, both upstream and downstream, on behalf of the company.
- Builds effective relationships with customers, design team to include Application and Mechanical Engineering Team to meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
Perform turnkey estimating duties from time of project’s introduction to company to beginning of construction, including the following:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, Building Science is preferred but not required-Expeirence Trumps Degreee!
- 2-5 years employed Estimating/Quoting in the Industrial Manufacturing space- THIS IS A NON-COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL ESTIMATING ROLE.
- Previous experience in industrial site construction is preferred!
- Electrical skills a MAJOR plus. Also, working with union employees a plus.
- This process includes but may not be limited to business development, client engagement, budget development/submission, detailed and comprehensive quantity takeoff, accurate cost evaluation, subcontractor/supplier bid solicitation, subcontractor/supplier scope/qualification/cost evaluation, risk evaluation, and bid submission.
