What’s a typical day as a Material Planner/Buyer? You’ll be:
• Thoroughly understanding and accurately maintaining process-related systems
• Scheduling, monitoring, and managing day-to-day orders and deliveries from Tier 2 and 3 OEMs
• Investigating root cause for late orders and developing resolution plans
• Managing Tier 1 supplier inventory levels through analysis
• Maintaining required inventory between Tier’d suppliers to ensure supply chain requirements are met
• Establishing and maintaining communication networks with the supply base
• Identifying, evaluating, and escalating critical issues to management
• Collaborating with department project leaders to support Supply Chain Delivery projects
• Managing transition activity from New Model to Mass Production
• Strengthening business processes through continuous improvement
• Developing the capability of self and others through training and mentoring
• Maintaining reporting and conducting root cause analysis

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent relevant experience
• Have a minimum of 3 months of relevant experience (co-op/internship experience included)
• Have knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing flow
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have strong organization skills
• Have the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Have the ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based work environment
• Consistently identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
