Direct Hire Technical Manager
Hours: 9am to 5pm + OT (M-F)
Pay: $70,000 – $75,000 salary
Location: Remote + travel

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technical Manager will lead and manage a training program to enhance the technical skills of field technicians and customers, both remotely and on-site. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this role involves developing training materials, providing high-level technical support, and collaborating with factories and regional managers to address technical needs and skill development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support (50%)
– Provide high-level troubleshooting and support for complex field issues.
– Offer remote troubleshooting and repair guidance as needed.
– Assist junior technicians with advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
– Perform and oversee repairs and adjustments on products, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Technical Training (50%)
– Conduct customer training sessions and create related materials, including videos and PowerPoints.
– Develop and assess training curriculum and maintain training records.
– Provide on-the-job training for new technicians and support factory training curriculum development.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Consult with Tech on Call for product support and oversee in-house training sessions.
– Develop training contracts and quotes, share materials at the group level, and collaborate on training planning.
– Update internal documents and perform housekeeping duties for the work area and company vehicles.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
– 7+ years of relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of product line.
– Proven training experience and ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
– Proficiency in PLC and Can-bus systems, EPA 609 and 608 certifications.
– Familiarity with various training methods and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
– Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
– Ability to travel 50-75%.
