Kelly is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a wind turbine manufacturer in Amarillo, TX.
Position is a long-term contract role with the potential to be hired on. Pay is $27/hr for first shift work and $29.70/hr for second shift work. This position comes with full benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance, 8 Paid Holidays, 3 weeks of PTO, 401K, and weekly pay!
Once training has been completed (average 12 month period), there is a significant pay increase!!!
Schedule for first shift is 6a-2:30p Mon-Fri and second shift is 2-10:30p with some OT available. Must be flexible and be available for both shifts when needed.
The Quality Control Inspector is a critical and active role to maintain re-manufacturing inspection compliance and output by working daily on Wind Turbine components required quality control. Quality Control Inspector communicates with Amarillo Quality Manager to execute inspection requirements and timelines and ensures alignment with company excellence.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the QC Inspector you will:
• Perform in process and final quality control inspections on wind turbine gearboxes, main shafts, sub-assemblies, components and other as necessary.
• Produce and maintain documentation for inspections performed.
• Responsible for creating non-conforming reports in accordance with control of Non-conforming Materials procedures.
• Assist in development of Quality procedures and Manufacturing Instructions to eliminate quality defects and support continuous improvement processes.
• Ability to use metrology instruments to perform tolerance inspections that include but not limited to Faro Arm, CMM, micrometers, rulers, gages, etc.
• Will be required to work in different areas throughout shop wherever quality support is needed.
• Support Lean manufacturing aspects as required.
• Perform CTQ quality checks in assembly workstations to ensure assembly compliance and traceability standards are maintained.
• Will be required to perform Internal audits as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum 1 years experience in manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 1 years experience or working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and Quality Management System procedures.
Desired Characteristics:
• Proficient in various functions of Microsoft Office.
• Strong written/oral communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervision.
• Ability to work with a wide with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside of the facility
• Should be able to work overtime when necessary to meet operation objectives
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
• Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
