Position: CNC Machinist – Full time, Direct Hire
Location:  Oxnard, CA 93030
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-12:30am, OT as needed. Will train on first shift initially.
Pay: $65-69k DOE aligned with role

What’s a typical day as a CNC Machinist? You’ll be:
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
• Developing/reviewing setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece.
• Attaching fixture to machine, positioning and securing work piece in fixture according to setup instructions.
• Assembling cutting tools in tool holders and positioning tool holders in machine spindles as specified or inserting cutting tools in specified machine magazines.
• Downloading part programs from Machine Shop program storage computer to machine controls based on production schedules.
• Manipulating controls and entering commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine.
• Observing and listening to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
• Suggesting program and machining and fixture changes to improve Quality and Production requirements.
• Changing cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in setup instructions.
• Measuring work piece for conformance to specifications.
• Notifying supervisor or lead person of discrepancies.
• Adjusting machine feed and speed and changing cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.
• Machining materials other than metal such as composites, plastic, and rubber.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical data.
• Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to measure work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Are able to manipulate machine controls and enter commands accurately.
• Have the ability to suggest program and machining changes to improve quality and production requirements.
• Are comfortable working with various materials such as metal, composites, plastic, and rubber.
• High school diploma and ITAR standard.
• Are able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
