Position: Quality Inspector
Location: New Facility, Flint, MI
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm; Overtime on Friday, 6am-2:30pm (overtime likely through the end of the year)
Job Description: Join our new Flint facility as a Quality Inspector and be an essential part of our team. This role offers a competitive pay rate and a significant opportunity in the city. As a Quality Inspector, you will focus on ensuring the quality of our packaging products by inspecting materials and boxes, documenting results, and collaborating with the production team to address any quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming materials and finished products, including boxes, to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Perform detailed visual and measurement inspections of boxes and packaging using various tools and equipment
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
- Identify and report any quality issues or defects related to the boxes or other products to the production team and management
- Collaborate with production staff to resolve quality concerns
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols
- Conduct routine checks and audits of production processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
What You Need to Succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a quality inspection role, preferably in packaging or manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies in boxes and other products
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to a positive work atmosphere
