Laboratory Technician – Lead

| Birmingham, AL | Direct Hire |  $55-65,000 & benefits |

We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to join our growing global company. In this role, you will conduct analytical, biological, and performance tests to support our research initiatives. The ideal candidate is eager to contribute their skills and expertise to our innovative projects and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment- ideally with experience in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate and timely testing on a diverse range of samples 

  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment such as HPLC and ICP

  • Follow established laboratory procedures and maintain compliance with industry standards 

  • Analyze and interpret test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings 

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support ongoing research projects 

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment 

  • Perform titrations, solid water analysis, and performing testing on HPLC and ICP. 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, ideally in oil and gas industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Proficiency in standard laboratory software and computer applications 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively 

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and ethical standards
