Our client is a premier electrical wiring equipment manufacturing facility in Morganton, NC. Salary: $100-105,000
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30AM-5:30PM
Duration: Permanent position with full benefits
Location: Morganton, NC

What’s a typical day as a Toolroom Manager? You’ll be:
• Managing the fabrication of tooling for molds, dies, assembly fixtures, automation components, spare parts, and prototypes
• Coordinating resources and meeting project completion dates
• Managing projects for the Tool Room and Tool Design
• Implementing and supervising adherence to all company policies, including safety, attendance, training, and quality control
• Providing support to all areas of manufacturing and assisting with process improvement projects
• Providing cost estimates for new molds, dies, and machinery
• Supervising the fabrication of prototype parts for engineering and operations evaluation
• Assisting and supporting the Engineering Department on designs and automation concepts
• Performing supervisory duties, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating, and rewarding performance
• Encouraging open employee communication and promoting teamwork
• Maintaining Toolroom procedures, documents, and records to maintain ISO certification

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree and/or commensurate experience with demonstrated leadership and management expertise and success
• Have a Tool and Die Journeyman certificate (preferred)
• Have a minimum of 5 years of management experience
• Have extensive experience in managing internal employees and external suppliers
• Have SolidWorks experience (preferred)
• Have knowledge of tool room equipment, tooling processes, and preventative maintenance practices
• Have a thorough understanding of machining processes such as CNC Mill, Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, surface grinding, manual milling, lathe work, CAD, and CAM applications
• Can interpret and direct work from CAD models, blueprints, and sketches
• Can develop and maintain a shop schedule using MS Project software
• Have working knowledge of ERP and tool crib inventory management systems (preferred)
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level
