DIRECT HIRE Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Shift: 1st Shift 6am – 3:30 Monday to Friday
Pay: $23-26 per hour based on experience
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package upon hire
Job Summary:
Kelly is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join a premier customer in Cincinnati, OH. This role involves pulling orders accurately for prompt shipment and verifying and entering incoming shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment: Retrieve merchandise from warehouse shelves to fulfill orders for non-stock or special items, verifying identifying information and quantities.
- Packaging: Place items in containers, ensuring the invoice is visible. For “wrap and pack” orders, write the company invoice number on the box and compare information on the packing slip with the purchase order, checking item quantities and noting discrepancies.
- Data Entry: Enter purchase orders into the computer system to generate shipping tickets, ensuring the sales order number is correctly indicated on the shipping ticket and attached to the package.
- Incoming Shipments: Record incoming shipments into the computer system after physical counts have been verified.
- Return Shipments: Manage return shipments to manufacturers for repairs.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Assist in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Out-of-Town Shipments: Package orders for shipping to locations outside the local area.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: General knowledge of warehouse procedures; experience utilizing a forklift.
- Skills: Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
