What’s a typical day as a Data Architecture Team Manager? You’ll be:
• Managing and providing leadership to a team of data architects, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination among team members.
• Developing and maintaining a robust data architecture strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organization’s overall business objectives.
• Advancing data governance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and data quality.
• Overseeing the design of data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
• Ensuring the implementation of data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborating with business analysts and data scientists to define data requirements for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide strategic recommendations.
• Evaluating and selecting third-party vendors or solutions for data-related products or services.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the data architecture team.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective communication within the team and across departments.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have 8+ years of progressive experience in data management leading teams as a data or information architect.
• Possess advanced knowledge of designing and working with multi-dimensional, mining transactional data and strategies that drive business.
• Have hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis.
• Are a knowledgeable, go-getter, self-driven individual with a strong sense of ownership.
• Are a team player/collaborator who builds relationships with customers and team members, earning their trust, and creating influence to meet objectives.
• Are a servant leader who clears roadblocks for team members and helps them grow individually.
• Have knowledge of project management, budgeting, financial management, vendor management, service management, and operational efficiency.
• Have strong oral and verbal communication/presentation skills.
• Have a strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, and principles.
• Have experience with database platforms, including DB2, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, MongoDB, etc.
• Have experience in enterprise information life cycle management, including data modeling, mapping, profiling, quality, and master data management practices.
• Have knowledge of cloud-based technology, including cloud connectivity options, data storage options, data lakes, cloud warehouses, cloud ETL/ELT tools, cloud streaming options, cloud databases, data search options, and cloud/on-prem BI products.
• Have a working knowledge of Big Data platforms technologies and processes, including cloud big data products.
• Have a working knowledge of advanced data analytics, AI, and ML/D.
