Schedule: Monday-Friday 4pm-12am

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Assurance Supervisor at a food manufacturing facility south of Dallas. The overall responsibility of the position is to direct the quality inspection of incoming raw materials and finished products produced in the manufacturing process to ensure that they meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of the Quality Assurance and Microbiology laboratories

  • Verify lab procedures and equipment calibration to ensure Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are generated

  • Implementation and management of laboratory safety procedures, training, and record-keeping

  • Collaborate with Corporate QA for quarterly lab proficiency testing

  • Manage product and packaging specifications and work with the Quality Engineer to generate batch sheets and process instructions

  • Create and maintain SOPs specific to laboratory operations

  • Coordinate with the Quality team to manage holds, including communication, testing, and disposition

  • Drive continuous improvement in QA laboratory operations to meet plant goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field is desired but not required

  • 2-5 years of related experience in the food industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

  • Proficiency in quality assurance systems and processes

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations
