Kelly Science & Clinical is hiring as Analytical Chemistry Technician with one of our growing food R&D clients in Springhouse, PA. The incumbent will be part of a team that assesses new technologies to reduce food waste.

SUMMARY
This position is ideal for someone who is excited by contributing to cutting edge science and technology R&D, and thrives in a creative, high-energy environment. Candidates will be mainly responsible for designing, planning and carrying out laboratory experiments such as research sample preparation or processing, gas, liquid, or solid phase chemical analysis, product performance characterization and stability investigation, etc., in support of a wide range of projects from early-stage exploration to proof of concept and development, to scale up and launch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with laboratory safety protocols.

  • Prepare and process research samples of gas, liquid, or solid phase materials and formulations following standard operating procedures. Analyze and interpret chromatography results.

  • Perform chemical analysis using GC-NPD/FID, HPLC, GCMS, and LCMS.

  • Conduct lab scale experimentations for a given objective.

  • Document, summarize, and report experimental results and findings in a timely manner.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in chemistry or relevant field.

  • 1+yrs experience and skills in LCMS or HPLC, must have experience doing sample preparation

    • Additional experience analytical instrumentation such as liquid and gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, etc is a plus

    • Agilent instrumentation with ChemStation software is preferred


  • Intrinsically motivated with high curiosity and enthusiasm in science and technology.

  • Strong personal leadership with initiative and commitment to follow-through and execute.

  • Aptitude in critical thinking, creativity, hands-on, and attention to details.

  • Great interpersonal skills by being an open-minded and collaborative team player.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Effective in MS Office uses and basic math calculations.
