Sr. Packaging Engineer
- Location: (ONSITE) – Cary, Illinois (60013)
- Duration: 12+ month contract – (Opportunity for contract extension and/or internal hire)
- Type: W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
- Pay: Negotiable depending on direct-related experience up to $65 – $75 an hour
- Work Authorization: Must be able to work in the United States with current employment authorization documents. Visa sponsorship is not available now and in the future for this role.
Summary:
We are looking for someone who is passionate, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of packaging regulations and best practices
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of packaging systems for a diverse portfolio of medical devices
- Utilize expertise and creativity to design and implement innovative packaging solutions
- Ensure compliance with packaging regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand packaging requirements and develop effective solutions
- Conduct packaging testing and validation to ensure quality and functionality
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in packaging processes
- Continuously evaluate and improve packaging processes and procedures
- Mentor and guide other packaging engineers and team members
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in packaging technology
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding packaging design and development
- Participate in project planning and provide input on timelines and resource allocation
- Troubleshoot and resolve any packaging issues that arise during production
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of packaging materials, equipment, and technologies
- Contribute to the development of packaging standards and guidelines
