Location: Newark, CA
Shift: Day Shift
Pay Rate: $30-$40/hr (Based on experience and meeting job requirements)

Position Overview:
As an Automation Technician, you will be at the heart of maintaining and optimizing advanced production equipment. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of automated machinery, allowing our client to continue delivering world-class products. You’ll perform both preventative and breakdown maintenance, work closely with manufacturing teams, and play a key role in troubleshooting and improving automated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize equipment to support manufacturing operations.

  • Communicate equipment status effectively to line leads and supervisors.

  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine corrective actions, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues.

  • Complete assigned and ad-hoc work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

  • Ensure accurate inventory management by transacting parts within the CMMS.

  • Participate actively in process reviews and problem-solving sessions.

  • Follow Environmental Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong mechanical and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician working with complex equipment.

  • Preferred experience with automated assembly equipment and high-volume automated systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • A background in troubleshooting complex systems is highly desirable.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment used in the manufacture of specialized products.

  • Fabricate parts as needed in the machine shop.

  • Respond promptly to trouble calls to minimize downtime.
